With its new "Water for Life" campaign, Dassault Systèmes aims to empower industry to be smarter about its consumption of the world's most precious resource: water.

Dassault Systèmes announced "Water for Life", the second act of "The Only Progress is Human", its initiative to raise awareness of the social and environmental challenges we face today, as well as to inspire the use of virtual worlds to envision sustainable innovations.

To present this second act, at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic was at its peak, preventing gatherings, Dassault Systèmes chose to turn to the latest in filming technology: virtual/XR studio.

And so began a pioneering adventure, with ERA Conseils and Les Petits Français exploring the possibilities afforded by this budding new technology, an exciting journey, during the design and testing phases of which we discovered that the codes of XR production were closer to those associated with large-scale shows than traditional sets.

Armed with these familiar codes, we created an original concept in the form of a road story in which two men, Bernard Charlès and Mike Horn, wove together the real and the virtual.

This film, made in one day, highlights the mission of Dassault Systèmes, from concept to completion: to offer companies and individuals collaborative virtual environments that enable them to imagine more sustainable innovations.
